From engineering IBM's first cloud SaaS platform to leading design thinking transformation across the enterprise — driving product innovation and organizational change at scale.
IBM
Offering Manager, Commerce Innovation Team & Cloud
IBM tasked me with two critical missions: transform the SoftLayer acquisition into a competitive cloud platform, then scale design thinking and agile practices across the entire enterprise to drive product innovation.
As Cloud Infrastructure Lead Software Engineer, I led eight engineers to evolve SoftLayer into IBM Cloud OpenStack Services—IBM’s first full-stack SaaS platform with 170+ products spanning data, AI, IoT, and blockchain. I partnered with global teams to craft proof-of-concepts, present wireframes to executives, and deliver the first enhanced iteration in three months while improving code quality through responsive design and advanced CMS implementation.
Transitioning to Offering Manager for Commerce Innovation, I became the catalyst for organizational change. I designed and delivered IBM’s first enterprise-wide offering management playbook, establishing standardized practices for design thinking and agile product development. I mentored Offering Managers across eCommerce, B2B, AML, Compliance, and Cognitive portfolios, facilitated transformation workshops on digital readiness and iterative SDLC, and coached executives on business model development and go-to-market strategy.
My curiosity about machine learning led to breakthrough innovations: I developed Watson-powered proposals for Fortune 500 clients (Weather Channel, REI, Lowe’s, Nordstrom) that tested real-time personalization and integrated predictive insights with real-world data. I co-created the Sponsor User program that grew from 25 to 75 participants, establishing systematic customer feedback loops across IBM’s product portfolio—advancing digital solutions while strengthening customer relationships.
