Transforming Credit Karma's growth technology by launching high-traffic calculator products, optimizing core web vitals, and training teams on agile best practices that accelerated delivery.

Credit Karma

Senior Growth Technology Product Manager

Credit Karma wanted faster growth through better product tooling, stronger performance, and tighter development processes, all while supporting the personal loan and credit card offers that drove most of the site’s revenue.

As Senior Growth Technology Product Manager, I led product strategy for Credit Karma’s calculator suite and its growth work. I launched 4 new calculators, scoped 20 more, and revamped 25+ existing ones, including loan, debt repayment, amortization, and mortgage estimators. Those tools pulled 75% of Credit Karma’s site traffic and revenue from 500K monthly views, and became the core of user engagement and conversion.

I improved SEO and SEM by tuning core web vitals across several front end and back end codebases, which lifted performance and accessibility. I reworked how the team built products, training marketing and technology teams on lean agile and design thinking and setting up stable production and staging workflows. I also rebuilt the backend CMS and co-managed WordPress development so marketing could manage content without friction, which sped up delivery while keeping code quality, instrumentation, and analytics intact.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

Calculator Suite Driving 75% of Traffic and Revenue

I led strategy and development for Credit Karma’s calculator suite: 4 new tools launched, 20 more scoped, and 25+ existing ones revamped, including loan, debt repayment, amortization, and mortgage estimators. They estimated payments across different loan amounts, interest rates, and terms, backing the personal loan and credit card offers. The suite drove 75% of Credit Karma’s site traffic and revenue from 500K monthly views, making it the biggest engine of engagement and conversion for growth.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

SEO/SEM Optimization and Core Web Vitals

I drove SEO and SEM gains by tuning core web vitals across several front end and back end codebases, which improved performance, accessibility, and search visibility. I led the SEO and Editorial teams in defining and shipping new features that sharpened content strategy. The performance work moved search rankings, user experience, and conversion directly, and kept Credit Karma competitive in organic search while the growth goals stayed on track.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

Agile Transformation and CMS Modernization

I reworked how Credit Karma built products, training marketing and technology teams on lean agile, design thinking, and process improvement. I set up stable production and staging workflows, streamlined the PRD process, and moved teams to faster agile cycles. I also rebuilt the backend CMS for marketing and co-managed WordPress development, giving writers, creators, and marketing stakeholders tools that made content work smoother without giving up technical quality.

  • Set code quality and analytics standards. Held the line on clean code, performance, instrumentation, and data reporting across every initiative, so growth scaled on a solid technical base.
  • Drove agile delivery and clear handoffs. Moved teams to faster agile cycles with prioritized roadmaps and story mapping for UX, architecture, and engineering, which tightened development and made handoffs cleaner.
  • Built production and staging workflows. Set up stable processes for production and staging that cut deployment risk and let the team ship iteratively with quality checks in place.
